As the community is aware, when Mr. Organisciak initially announced his retirement as Superintendent of Schools, he contemplated the possibility that personal developments might necessitate an earlier effective retirement date.

Train Service Limited In New Rochelle

Train service on the New Haven line suspended due to power issues in Mount Vernon station. MTA is saying a main transmission line that feeds Metro North has failed. Con Edison is working on the problem.
The MTA is running limited diesel trains that might run once a hour.
No word yet on how long the issue will last and if it will effect the evening commute.

Williams DWI NRNEW ROCHELLE, NY -- Diana A. Williams, 39, a security guard at New Rochelle High School, was arrested last weekend on charges of DWI after tests showed her blood alcohol content exceeded 00.18, more than twice the legal limit.
