It's Matthew Pryce here. You might remember me from such Talk of the Sound contributions as the hilarious "Photo Funnies" that have randomly appeared on the site or my work as calendar editor and co-host of Talk of the Sound Radio.

I've since moved on from New Rochelle and currently reside in the state capital.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- A Funeral Mass will be held at Blessed Sacrament Church, 15 Shea Place, New Rochelle, on Friday, August 1 at 9:30 am. Interment to follow at Calverton National Cemetery, 210 Princeton Blvd, Calverton, NY (on Long Island).

Anyone wishing to attend the Burial Service may join the car pool to the cemetery and back to New Rochelle.

Coyote in New Rochelle Kills Three Kittens

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- Coyotes are becoming more of an issue in New Rochelle, says one South End couple.
 "A coyote entered our yard and killed three kittens this week," said Debbie Geronimo.
 She says the incident took place in the near D'Onofrio Field not far from Jefferson Elementary School.
 Mark Hammond tweets that he often sees coyotes in the North End of New Rochelle while riding his bike at night.

Bramson Stirs Embers of Dormant Group Home Controversy to Generate Attention for Himself

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- The short-lived controversy over a proposal for a group home in the East End of New Rochelle had all but extinguished itself after the City of New Rochelle agreed to a request from the neighborhood to file an appeal with the New York State Office of Mental Health. The appeal was filed on June 20, 2014 and a hearing date set by the New York State Office for People with Developmental Disabilities on August 5, 2014.
