WHITE PLAINS, NY -- The Westchester County Board of Elections has certified the results of the 2015 General Election in New Rochelle.

Mayor (9,264): Noam Bransom - 5,716 (61.7%), James O'Toole (38.3%) - 3,548 [Margin: 23.4 points, 2,168 votes]

Council District 1 (849): Louis J Trangucci (57.8%) - 491, Luis Zepeda (42.2%) - 358 [Margin: 15.6 points, 133 votes]

Council District 2: Albert Tarantino - 1,056 (100%)

Council District 3: Jared R. Rice - 976 (100%)

Much played his freshman campaign in 2013-14 at the University of Buffalo and enrolled at Iona this past January.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- Iona Preparatory Upper School standouts in baseball, basketball, lacrosse and track & field made their mark on National Signing Day, with seven athletes signing National Letters of Intent to play for NCAA Division I or Division II schools.

The group was headlined by varsity basketball star Ty Jerome, a Bronxville resident who committed to play for Atlantic Coast Conference powerhouse University of Virginia. The seven Gaels made their commitments official on Thursday, November 12, the second day of the NCAA’s early signing period.

Astorino today officially launched the second phase of his Food Waste Reduction initiative – which focuses on collecting food waste and turning it into compost that will be used in gardens and parks throughout Westchester – in partnership with Arc of Westchester and the Westchester Community Foundation during a ribbon cutting ceremony that unveiled county’s new composter

NEW YORK, NY -- In advance of the holiday shopping season, Attorney General Eric T. Schneiderman issued tips for consumers who plan to shop on Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

“As the holiday shopping season kicks off and New Yorkers look to take advantage of sales and bargains, they must be aware of deals that are too good to be true and online fraudsters scheming to make a quick buck,” said Attorney General Schneiderman. “By following our tips and guidelines, consumers will be able to spend their money wisely and safely this holiday season.”
