NEW YORK, NY -- NewYork-Presbyterian/Lawrence Hospital is pleased to announce it is one of only twenty-five hospitals to be recognized by The New York State Department of Health Bureau of Immunization Perinatal Hepatitis B Prevention Program. The hospital has been placed on the Immunization Action Coalition Birth Dose Honor Roll by achieving a 90% or higher coverage rate in 2015 for the birth dose of hepatitis B vaccine and also passed their most recent lot quality assurance visit.

JV Women’s Soccer Falls to The King’s College, 2-1

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- In a battle of New York schools, The King's College prevailed over Monroe College, 2-1, last Thursday. Despite a spirited effort, the JV women's soccer team is 0-3 on the season.

Cydney Barry accounted for the lone Monroe goal, and the team had several chances late to even the score. Ingrid Da Silva was a standout on defense for the Mustangs, denying The King's College's multiple scoring chances.

The Monroe College JV women's soccer team will return to action on Thursday, September 22nd, against Kingsborough Community College in Brooklyn.

Monroe College Earns First-Ever Rugby Win with 34-29 Triumph Over Maritime

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- The Monroe College rugby team earned their first win in program history on Sunday with a 34-29 victory over SUNY Maritime College in the Bronx. The team is now 1-1 on the season.

Maritime started strong, taking a 19-0 lead with three tries in the opening 15 minutes. Monroe got on the scoreboard when Cahlil Ross earned an interception try. Later, Sellis Roberthson picked off the back of the scrum and ran the length of the field for his second try in as many games. Monroe trailed 19-10 at halftime.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- The Monroe College football team improved to 3-0 on the season on Sunday with a 44-0 victory over the Wagner College JV team in Staten Island. Ryan Fulse led the rushing attack with 154 yards and a pair of touchdowns. He even scampered for 70 yards in one play. This was the third-straight game that Fulse surpassed the 100-yard plateau.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- The College of New Rochelle Womens Volleyball team went down to the wire - three times -  this weekend as they played at the Union Tournament and Sage Invitational.  On Friday, CNR opened up play against Skidmore, falling 3-2, then dropped a 3-0 decision to the hosts Union.  The next day, CNR went the distance and then some against host Sage and a rematch against Skidmore, dropping both 3-2.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- The College of New Rochelle Mens Soccer team suffered its first loss of the season Sunday afternoon at the hands of Penn State Harrisburg 4-1 in non-conference action.  Penn State improves to 5-2 while CNR drops to 5-1.

Penn State came out fast and furious and struck two times in the 13th minute, stunning the Blue Angels, as they went up 2-0.  CNR was able to make it to the half still trailing by two.
