NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- New Rochelle Mayor Noam Bramson, Developer Ralph Rossi of RMA Development, LLC, the City of New Rochelle, the New Rochelle IDA, and The Community Preservation Corporation (CPC), a leading nonprofit affordable housing and community revitalization finance company, celebrated the grand opening of The Lombardi, a new $12 million, 48-unit, mixed-use development in downtown New Rochelle.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- The League of Women Voters Candidates Forum of Monday, October 24 at City Hall is replaying daily through November 7 on Cablevision Channel 75 and Verizon Channel 28 in New Rochelle at the following times

12:00 am, 7:00 am, 12:00 pm, 4:00 pm, 7:00 pm      

On November 6 and 7, there will be an additional showing at 9 pm

The College of New Rochelle Board of Trustees Issues Preliminary Report on Financial Crisis

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- The Board of Trustees engaged a team of professionals to assess the current condition and future viability of The College of New Rochelle (CNR).  The review is still in progress, but preliminary findings indicate that there is a path forward for the College to remain a stand-alone institution.  It will require significant cost-cutting and a significant amount of outside funding; however, it is the primary goal of the Board.

Repeatedly Warned Of Structural Failure, New Rochelle Superintendent Rejected Pleas to Replace Webster Roof a Year Before Ceiling Collapse

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- Schools Superintendent Dr. Brian Osborne, in the first few weeks of his administration in 2014, was warned repeatedly that the roof and ceiling system of the Webster Elementary School was showing signs of structural failure, required immediate attention and needed to be completely replaced, records show. Osborne failed to act, putting dozens of lives at risk, and the ceiling collapsed a year later, in August 2015.
