First-ever CNR Men's Basketball Game Goes Down to the Wire

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- The College of New Rochelle Men's Basketball team officially took to the court for the first time in program history Saturday afternoon against the hosts of the Penn State Harrisburg Tip-Off tournament.  And after holding a 32-30 halftime lead, the Blue Angels looked to spoil the home team's opener.  But, a late surge by Penn State Harrisburg gave them the 76-72 win over CNR.

Bravo, Bravo '20: Frosh Breaks CHSAA Record for Van Cortlandt Park

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- Freshman Pedro Bravo ran one of the greatest races in Prep history on Nov. 12 at the 90th Annual Catholic Intersectional Varsity State Championships, setting a new Catholic high school freshman record for the 2.5-mile Van Cortlandt Park course.

Bravo placed 14th with a time of 13:25, the ninth fastest ever run by a Prep athlete. Even more incredibly, he is also ranked No. 6 in the nation among freshmen running any 2.5-mile course.

The amazing time qualified him for the New York State Federation Championship on Nov. 19.

CNR Falls in Tourney Consolation Game to SUNY Geneseo

NEW ROCHELLE, NY --For the second straight game, freshmen Elijah Harris (Flushing, NY) led the upstart College of New Rochelle men's basketball team pumping in a team-high 18 points against SUNY Geneseo in the consolation game of the Penn State Harrisburg Tip Off Tournament Sunday afternoon.  But, it would not be enough as the Knights downed CNR 86-74 to move to 2-1 on the young season.  The Blue Angels fall to 0-2.

Men’s Soccer Season Ends with National Championship Loss

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- The Monroe College Men's Soccer team was one of two schools left standing at the end of the 2016 NJCAA Soccer Championship, but were bested by Tyler Junior College, 2-0, in the championship game on Saturday. The Mustangs finished the year ranked 2nd in the country.

The game was scoreless at the half, with the normally stalwart Monroe defense thwarting any Apache opportunity to score. The back line of Pablo Pertusa and Osman Fofanah combined with goalie Svyat Kozak to keep Tyler off the board in the first 45.
