NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- William A., Jr., DDS Bill, 84, was the first son of Dr. William A. and Ida (Gerry) Dwyer of New Rochelle, New York. He is survived by siblings Jane, Gerry, Pat, Maura and Mike. He was a proud alumnus of Iona Prep, The University of Notre Dame and Columbia University. He then served in the U.S. Army. He married Eileen Gallagher Dwyer (deceased) and had seven children - Beth, Bill, Dan, Eileen, Chris, Kate, and Mike. He practiced Dentistry in New Rochelle, New York. In his second life, he served as an EMT for The City of New York and lived in City Island.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- Susan Goldstein Deutsch of New Rochelle died peacefully at home on Thursday, August 25th at the age of 75, next to her loving husband Ira and surrounded by family and friends. Born on March 25, 1941 in Philadelphia, PA she was the younger daughter of the late Shirley and Morton Goldstein. She moved to Larchmont in 1949.

As a proud third generation Quaker, she received a BS from the University of Pennsylvania, where she met and started her lifelong love affair with her husband Ira Deutsch. They were married on December 22, 1963 at Larchmont Temple.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- Congratulations to New Rochelle High School students Nicholas Townley and Steven Solar who each received a perfect score of 36 on the ACT test, a high school achievement and college admission assessment. The two are in elite company. According to ACT, fewer than one-tenth of 1 percent of all test-takers receive a perfect score. Out of 2.1 million testers in the graduating class of 2016, only 2,235 achieved the highest score. #perfectscores
