Monroe Men’s Basketball Defeats Niagara County CC 81-60

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- To open the Men's Basketball game on Saturday, Hudson Sonnenstein, five-year-old son of Monroe's Dean of Student Services, Mark Sonnenstein, sang the national anthem to hearty applause. After that, the Monroe College Men's Basketball team drew the cheers in an 81-60 victory over Niagara County Community College. The team improved to 18-7 on the season in the win.

Several Monroe College student-athletes took part in the signing, signifying the strength and rigor of our athletic programs.

WHITE PLAINS, NY -- The Westchester County Board of Health has extended the deadline for nominations of volunteers whose time and talents this past year made outstanding contributions to public health in Westchester.  Nominations for the annual public health service awards are now due Feb. 14.

The Distinguished Public Health Service Award is presented annually to a person or community-based organization, whose efforts serve the public health of Westchester residents

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- Mario J. Rondinelli, Entered into eternal life on September 6, 2016. He was born and raised in New Rochelle, NY. He was the son of the late Salvatore and Domenica Rondinelli. He was an electrical contractor for over 40 years. Mario was predeceased by his wife Gail M. La Boissere Rondinelli. He is survived by his son Stephen A. Rondinelli and his wife Desiree, grandchildren, Alexis and Andrew Rondinelli, and a sister Connie Tesoro. A Mass of Christian Burial and Entombment will be private.
