Charles J. Green Obituary

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- Charles was born on July 7, 1934 and passed away on Friday, October 7, 2016.

Charles was a resident of New Rochelle, New York at the time of passing.

He graduated from Stepinac High School in 1952.

Charles joined the New Rochelle Police department in 1956. He received the top Westchester County Macy Award for capturing an armed suspect following a shooting, in 1960. He was promoted to sergeant in 1970 and played an active role in the Police Association and Superior Officers Association .

Charles was married to Ruth Grube.

Tiara Reyes-Vega: District Instructional Support Director

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- Tiara Reyes-Vega, the former Executive Director of Language Acquisition for the Yonkers Public Schools, has been named Director of Instructional Support for the New Rochelle school district. She was appointed to the post on June 6 by the New Rochelle Board of Education.

"I am honored to become a member of the New Rochelle public schools team," she said. "I am excited to collaborate with all stakeholders to continue to promote the district's vision of excellence and achievement for all students."
