Trinity Lunch Monitor Spruces up Gardens

September 30, 2017 - 17:33

NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- The bricks of Trinity Elementary School have been livened up with mums, geraniums and begonias - flowers in bright yellow, red, pink and other colors - thanks to Aurelia Grosu.

Grosu has been a lunch monitor at the school since 2004, but she has been gardening all her life.

"I love to garden," she said. "I said, 'You know, I should do something for the school, and of course, for the children.'"
