NEW ROCHELLE, NY — AnnaLou Sheehan nee (Barrett) of New Rochelle formerly of Yonkers died on Sunday, October 23, 2016 at age 84. Born on October 24, 1931 to James M. and Gladys (Jones) Barrett in Yonkers where she was raised and attended local schools. Mrs. Sheehan worked as a switchboard operator at St. Joseph’s Medical Center for over thirty years retiring in 1996. On June 21, 1951 she married Joseph Sheehan; he died in 1987. AnnaLou is survived by her eight children; Joseph Sheehan; Barbara Montre, Elizabeth Taylor, Teresa Winoski, John Sheehan, Timothy Sheehan, Evelyn Smedberg, And Ruth Sheehan. She is also survived by her fourteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by two daughters, Catherine and Lorraine Sheehan. She also was the last of ten siblings; predeceased by nine brothers and sisters. Visiting hours will be at the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be in Sacred Heart Church on Friday, October 28th at 9:30 a.m. Committal service at Ferncliff Chapel.
