Girls’ Indoor Track Team Wins Freedom Games Invitational

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The NRHS girls’ indoor track team won big at the Freedom Games Invitational Jan. 7, setting records and earning first place in several of the races.

The girls won the meet at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex on Staten Island. 

Audrey Fox took first place in the 1500-meter race walk.  With a time of 7 minutes, 10.89 seconds, Audrey set a meet and school record.

Kiana Stallworth won the long jump with a distance of 17-7 1/2.  This was a meet record.

Olivia Morgan took first place in the triple jump with a distance of 36-8.

The 4 x 200 relay team consisting of Diana Diaz, Gabby Johnson, Kiana Stallworth and Olivia Morgan came in first with a time of 1:44.19.

Other notable achievers were Ilenn Soto, a freshman, who placed fourth in shot put with a throw of 35-11. Ariana Washington, a sophomore, placed third in the weight throw of 36-0.
