Obituary: William Cooper Falk (1992 – 2012)

William Cooper Falk of Madbury, ME died unexpectedly on Sunday, September 23, 2012 in New Rochelle, N.Y. Cooper was born on January 27, 1992 in Portland, Maine. After graduating from Oyster River High School in 2010, he went on to study martial arts in Israel and interned at Project Vote Smart, a nonprofit voter education program in Montana. He enrolled at Iona College where he studied history and was a member of the crew team. He enjoyed travel and visited Rome, Russia and Cambodia. Cooper worked for the Durham Marketplace and Walker’s Christmas Tree Farm.

He leaves behind his parents, Tom Falk and Linda Sten and his brother Arun, all of Madbury; his Aunt, Anne Falk of Portland, Maine, the Mar family of Wilmington, Mass., the Falk Family of Cheshire, Conn. and the Sten family of Macungie, Pa.

A memorial gathering is planned for Wednesday, October 3, 2012 from 3 to 6 p.m. at Madbury Town Hall. At 4:30 p.m., friends are invited to share memories of Cooper.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you hug your children and tell your friends how much they mean to you. In Cooper’s memory, a contribution may be made to Project Vote Smart at One Common Ground, Philipsburg, Mont. 59858.
