NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The College of New Rochelle Mens Soccer team suffered its first loss of the season Sunday afternoon at the hands of Penn State Harrisburg 4-1 in non-conference action.  Penn State improves to 5-2 while CNR drops to 5-1.

Penn State came out fast and furious and struck two times in the 13th minute, stunning the Blue Angels, as they went up 2-0.  CNR was able to make it to the half still trailing by two.

The second half New Rochelle found its groove in the opening moments and was able to get on the board when freshmen Daniel De Los Rios (Wellington, FL) sent a long pass over the Lions defense and freshmen Jovanni Garcia (Garden Grove, CA) was able to catch up to it, dribble around the PSU keeper, and tuck in his team-leading 8th goal of the season to cut the lead to 2-1.

But, mental lapses plagued CNR in a four minute span soon after which led to two Lion goals and set the final 4-1.

CNR was outshot 10-4 on goal and trailed 5-1 in corners.  Cristian Perez Del Castillo (Harrison, NY) made six saves for CNR in goal.
